Mongetto sughetto (Mongetto tomato sauce)

Like most Italian regional foods this tomato sauce is made in Vignale Monferrato; the Piemonte region. Selecting only the best ingredients including, perfectly ripe tomatoes, fresh onions, garlic, olives, capers, extra virgin olive oil, salted anchovies, and herbs make this sauce. There are no additives or preservatives; a perfect topping for good quality egg pasta, pizza or bruschetta.
